HERE’S THE SCOOP
Our goal is to help you make the most money from your fashionable home and closet! Here at Bougie June’s, we are looking for your gently worn, quality premium brand clothing and accessories for ladies, gentlemen, and children.
Clothing: We accept mid-level mall (examples- Loft, Ann Taylor, Talbots, J Crew, White House Black Market, Nike, Adidas, etc…) and higher-end and designer brands (Louis Vuitton, Tiffany & Co, Prada, etc.) Brand Guidelines here.
Furniture: Pictures must be submitted for approval prior to bringing in furniture items. Please include a close up of any defect with your pictures. Furniture must be in great condition and current style with very minimal to no wear. We are not currently accepting antique furniture unless it can fit the vibe of ‘modern farmhouse’. We do not accept mattresses. Email furniture pictures to intake@bougiejunes.com.
Home Goods: We accept current trending like-new home décor items.
EASY TIPS TO FOLLOW
- All items must be freshly laundered without wrinkles or lint
- Please inspect items for any staining, rips, missing buttons, broken zippers, fabric pilling, etc., as we will be unable to consider them
- Give your shoes a quick wipe down and a polish to spruce them up. Make sure to bend them and scan for any dry rotting
- Inspect handbags, cases, and pockets for any personal items, dust bunnies, loose change
- Ensure the inside of handbags are clean
- Place shoes, handbags and accessories in a tote or sturdy box to keep your items together in the consignment area
- Polish any sterling silver and stones to make them shine! Inspect pieces for any missing stones or broken clasps
- Dust and wipe down home decor items
- Last, but not least- we get that it can be frustrating to clean your items, make sure they’re in great condition…only for them not to be accepted. Trust me, we don’t like that either. We know time is precious, and if you are taking the time and effort to bring in your items we want you to have success selling those items. To make sure your time is well-spent, please bring us only your best brands in the best condition. Check out our In High Demand page for what we’re needing most right now.
SO NOW WHAT?
Here is a link with current open appointments . There are two types of appointments- a ‘live appointment’ while you wait or a ‘drop and go’ appointment.
Live appointment: Allow ~20 minutes for us to do a pre-inspection of your items. Clothing items should be brought in sturdy boxes. We will give back “no thank you’s” before you leave. After presort is finished and you’ve left, we will continue to inspect, price, and display your items on the sales floor. Once we go through your items a final time, any items that have defects found that we could not readily see upon initial inspection will be donated.
Drop and Go Appointment: If you don’t have time to wait, so long as you’re ok with ‘no thank you’s’ being donated you may drop off anytime during store hours on your appointment date. Please ensure you fill out a contract before you go if you do not already have one on file.
Furniture items must be pre-approved. Please email us a picture at intake@bougiejunes.com of your like new furniture and we’ll let you know if we currently have space.
CONSIGNING HIGHLIGHTS
Here is a link to the contract, with a summary below.
- We will price your items and get them out to the sales floor as quickly as possible. Some items are selected to be featured on our social media sites.
- There is a small $10 fee per consignor number issued to cover administration of new account set up. Many consignment stores charge a fee every year, however we appreciate your ongoing loyalty and this fee is not recurring provided that you consign with us at least once in a calendar year. If greater than 1 year since you’ve last had items accepted for consignment, the $10 fee will recur if you consign in the future.
- The consignment period is 60 days
- After two weeks or more on the sales floor, Items may be marked down for sale. This is at the team’s discretion based on our experience and what types of items and sizes are selling better. Some items may never be marked down, and some may begin markdowns in a couple of weeks. It’s all dependent on supply and demand.
- Due to the work it takes to get your items tagged and ready for display, early pulls before 60 days will be assessed a fee of 20% per item.
- Consignors receive 40% of the selling price for any item that sells under $300.
- There is a sliding scale with more commission to you for single items that sell over $300.
- Money from your consignor account can be paid out in THREE ways (you will be able to see the amount owed to you in the consignor portal):
- Cash up to $40.00 anytime the store is open
- Any amount, at any time, as store credit
- Check
- Checks are written the first week of the month for accounts that are over $40. Your check may be picked up at the shop (only by the named consignor with ID) anytime after the 10th of the month. For consignors outside of those counties, you may request your check is mailed, minus a $4 postage and processing fee. Checks are only payable to the name and address on the consignor’s account.
