There is a method to the madness!

Here at Bougie June’s we are CONSTANTLY evolving and learning about what sells BEST. We certainly don’t know it all but we do know quite a bit! Our goal is to provide a stellar shopping experience while selling items brought in by our consignors. And we find ourselves back at the basics : WHO, WHAT, WHY, WHEN and WHERE. Let’s take a closer look…

WHO:

Trendy Designers preferably within 3 years of release date in stores. We keep our racks packed anywhere from Nike to Chanel. We accept well made, quality clothing.

WHAT:

Tops and Shoes are overall our best selling items. Whereas, bottoms and business wear is at the bottom of the best seller ranking. Did you know most consignment retailers sell 26 TOPS per 1 BOTTOM?! Think about your closet – on average you have many more tops than you do pants and, of course, that is a reflection of what you buy. This reflects what we accept for the sales floor. Your fashion pieces are yours. It IS personal. We NEVER want you to feel like there is anything wrong with your items and THAT IS NOT THE CASE. There is a mental checklist that our team members go through when reviewing your items. Here’s a few… Is it a brand we accept? Is it a current style? Is it in like new condition? Are there any stains, rips, tears, odor, pet hair, discoloration, wrinkles, etc.? Will we be able to price it at a good value for our buyers and sellers? Is it authentic?

WHY:

Technology can be a beautiful thing. Our software system allows us to see trends in selling patterns and we certainly use that to YOUR advantage. We want to take items that we KNOW we can sell for you. We know time is precious, and if you are taking the time and effort to bring in your items we want you to have success selling those items!

WHEN:

Our selling period is 60 days.

WHERE (and, HOW):

For Shop while you Wait: All clothing must be clean, odor free, and pressed. Clothing items must be brought in totes or sturdy boxes. Limit 30 garments/items for shop while you wait.

Please bring items in through the main customer entrance (south door), and meet one of our customer service associates at the sales counter.

For Drop Offs: All clothing must be clean, odor free, and pressed. Clothing items must be brought in totes with a lid or a sturdy box. We’ll keep your totes/boxes and return any items we’re not able to take. You will be contacted via text to pick up these items and your totes. Pickups must occur within 7 days, otherwise the items and totes will be considered abandoned and will become the property of Bougie June’s. We may deep clearance any abandoned items in the store in attempt to recoup some processing/handling costs, or we may donate them. If this is your first time consigning with us, Consignor Agreements must be completed before we can accept items. It is helpful to complete the agreement found on our website ahead of time, but otherwise please allow time to complete it.

These processes allow us to: Accurately and diligently assess your items for staining, rips, odors, tears, and/or discoloration. Pieces that are wrinkled will not be accepted because they simply have a poor presentation on the sales floor and do not sell. If you ever have any questions or comments at any time we want to know!
